Making serious money in GTA 5 Story Mode isn’t about holding up another shop or scraping together cash from random events. That stuff barely moves the needle. The real money comes later, when you’ve finished the main story and can use Lester’s hits as a stock market cheat code. If you like having options outside the grind, there’s also another route worth knowing: as a professional platform for in-game currency and items, RSVSR is a convenient choice, and you can pick up rsvsr GTA 5 Modded Accounts if you want a faster start. In story mode though, the best play is simple. Do only the Hotel Assassination when the game makes you do it, then leave every other Lester mission alone until after The Big Score.
Start small with the Hotel job
The first assassination is the only one you can’t really postpone, so make it count. Before you begin, put Franklin’s cash into Betta Pharmaceuticals on BAWSAQ. After the mission, keep an eye on the stock for a couple of in-game days. Once the return gets close to 50 percent, sell. Don’t sit on it too long waiting for some perfect peak. After that, move the money into Bilkington Research on LCN. This part takes a bit more patience. The stock usually dips hard, then starts crawling back up after a few days. Give it around four in-game days, then hold a little longer and sell when the rebound looks healthy. A lot of players rush this bit and leave money on the table.
Save the big gains for the endgame
Once the final heist is done, all three characters should be sitting on a ridiculous pile of cash. That’s when the rest of Lester’s missions become absurdly profitable. For the Multi-Target Assassination, buy Debonaire before the mission starts. It tends to jump fast, often within two in-game days, so check back often and cash out when the gain looks strong. Right after that, switch into Redwood. Redwood is slower. It can take nearly a week in-game before the price really recovers, but the upside is massive if you’re patient. This is the point where your money starts feeling broken in the best possible way.
Watch the timing on the last three hits
The Vice Assassination is easy to understand but easy to mess up. Buy Fruit before the mission, then monitor it closely because the profitable window comes and goes pretty quickly. If you see around 50 percent growth, that’s your sign to sell and move on. The Bus Assassination works differently. Don’t invest before the mission at all. Wait until the target is gone, then buy Vapid when the price drops. Give it a few in-game days and it should climb back nicely. For the Construction Assassination, the setup is more direct: put your money into GoldCoast Development before the mission, then wait three or four days for the bump. It’s one of the cleaner paydays in the whole sequence.
What this strategy really gives you
What makes this method so good isn’t just the raw profit. It’s the freedom after. You stop thinking about cost every time a car catches your eye or a property pops up on the map. That’s why so many players save these missions for last instead of burning them early for pocket money. If you’d rather skip part of the climb and get into the fun stuff sooner, a lot of players also look for trusted places to buy GTA 5 Accounts because it cuts out hours of setup and lets you enjoy the game the way you actually want to play it.
At RSVSR, we’re all about smarter GTA 5 wins, not wasted grind. If you want bigger story mode profits, Lester’s stock plays are where it’s at—especially when you save the best missions for after The Big Score.
